Is Joey Chestnut winning the nathans hot dog contest really the greatest moment in american sports?
Trust me, the announcer doesn't REALLY feel that it was the greatest moment in American sports. I watch that contest every year on ESPN, and the announcers often make tongue-in-cheek comments like that. I think it was last year that one of them said that Kobayashi was the "greatest athlete on the planet."
Reply:thats bad ace... but the best moment in sports history was the first donkey show
Reply:I was thinking that was a totally absurd statement when that was said after Chestnut won. It's not even close to the greatest moment is American sports. Glad he brought the belt back to the US, but if that is considered a great moment is sports history, then its no surprise that we are such a fat As$ obese country.
Reply:How can stuffing your face with hot dogs be considered a sport? When the carnival act of eating became a t.v. "sport" we now know that anything that is declared a sport is no longer just trash t.v., but competition.
Reply:its the worst moment in american sports, it makes us look like slobs. The greatest moment for americans is when the us beat the russians at the olympics
Reply:yea he is
