What other use is there for water chestnut starch?
yes mix it with a liquid to create a slurry which will thicken sauces. Just bring the liquid to a boil add the slurry and let simmer for a few to remove the raw taste and skim the impurities off of the top.
Reply:I didn't know you could buy it like that. What kind of pudding? Does it have a flavor? Use it for everything you would use cornstarch for? (Is it good as a powder for babies, perhaps ?)
