Can i go from rich mahogany to chestnut brown in one hair dye? or how do I go about it?

my hair was dark blonde and i tried to go to a darkish brown/red but its a bright red.... how do I go to a chestnut brown? or can I even do that?

Reply:Since it is already a bright red, just re dye it .... remember to leave the color on long enough (usually 45 minutes) and use correct amount of peroxide (usually 2 ounces of 20 volume) which should be in kit--
