Where can i get edible chestnut from?

I am refering to the sweet kind of chestnuts which are eaten roasted. I tried it at a market vendor in Liverpool Street London and wish to know where i could either buy them from raw, or pick them or get them somehow.

Where can i get edible chestnut from?
You will be able to buy them between Thanksgiving and Christmas in all the grocery stores (USA). You can buy several bags and freeze them for the rest of the year.
Reply:They'll be coming into season soon. The best ones however are from Spain. You should be able to buy them in supermarkets, greengrocers etc.
Reply:Over the christmas period and leading up to it you can get them in most supermarkets and roast them yourself or eat them as they are.
Reply:Sainsburys, Tescos

I have a Chestnut tree in my garden, trying to stop the squirrels stealing them all! Could always fax you a few :)
Reply:You can get them at supermarkets (like Waitrose)

Or go to a good sized park and collect your own.

(Richmond park, Chiswick house)

They grow all over the UK just look around.
